Stay tuned as we'll be installing this new lighting pack- age on our Penton 250 vintage racer very soon. prestonpettyproducts.com Sidi Trial Zero 1 Boots We received a pair of the Trial Zero 1's a week before press time. Not having a trials bike handy to hop aboard at the time, we did some testing of these cool full-grain leather boots aboard an off-road woods bike. What we found immediately welcoming is how well sized the Trial Zero is compared to the Sidi boot product line. I typically opt for a full size larger when choosing Sidi as the Euro sizes tend to run on the smaller side. As one who wears a size 12 in works boots, it was a pleasant surprise to find the Trial Zero to be a perfect fit in both length and width. (Sidi's tend to run a bit narrow for this guy) There was no break-in required or needed, they fit like a comfy pair of shoes. Yes, really. The soles have treads and offer decent traction while walking in the woods. In fact, I wore them while on a photo shoot where there was a fair amount of hoofing it as opposed to actually riding. In a very short period of time, I've grown too really like the Trial Zero, they bring me back to my days of wearing my old Full Bore leather boots. They feel feather light for a bike boot and might be just the ticket for those with knee issues. No question, I'm using them for something other than their intended purpose but they work so well for light trail duty or dual sport riding. We'll have to put our Trials Editor Stu Preston in a pair for a real world eval- uation in the environment that they were designed. For now, I'm not giving them up! Priced at $295, they are a bargain! motonation.com
