It's likely that most patrons of Bohn Cycle in
Pi sburgh, PA have no idea who the quiet, tall,
thin guy in jeans and a T shirt is. They probably
figured he's a mechanic or helps around the
shop; however, the serious woods riders and
racers know exactly who he is — Ron Bohn.
Despite his humble and quiet personality, Ron
is a giant in off-road racing.
Let's back up and start with Bohn Cycle. Ron's
dad Melvin started in 1944 selling Harley Da-
vidson, Triumph, Matchless, BMW, Zundapp,
Panther and Horex. Through his rela onship
with Edison Dye, Mel Bohn and Bohn Cycle
became one of the first Husqvarna dealers in
the country in 1966 and then added Penton in
1968.
