to offer up helmet cam footage, too. I recently went out to Colorado to ride the New 2013 GasGas 300. Check out the helmet cam footage on this page. Also, vintage enthusiast Jeff DeBell provided me a link to some footage of the 1973 ISDT which was found in a family's attic. This is brand new footage of a historic offroad event in the U.S. - check it out below. I think the amount of information, coupled with the interactive experience provided in a digital magazine will be well received. We are also confident that the expanded audience and cost savings associated with advertising in a digital medium will appeal to more businesses, especially if they can embed promotional video into an ad. Take an advertiser like Air Cell, for example. Does a print advertisement really capture what their product does? How it works? No, it doesn't. What about Factory Connection? Wouldn't they benefit from providing some form of instructional how-to or promotional video embedded in their ad? How about tech tips from a local shop? The possibilities are vast and the audience far-reaching. Most importantly, it will make for an exciting experience for you, the reader. The possibilities and benefits of a digital Trail Rider are exciting for both the reader and business community alike. And the truth is, we need more readers and advertisers to keep us going and fuel our growth. Hopefully this venture into the digital era turns out to be good for everyone because we need it to help propel us forward and achieve our goal of becoming an Eastern off-road magazine dedicated to the amateur and professional alike. It will be a slow, evolving process, but we are determined. This is our first step in what will hopefully be an exciting new chapter in the history of Trail Rider. Wish us luck. Talk to you next month. -Kevin Kevin@trailrider.com July 2010 7
