T rying to predict how the how the National Enduro Series is going to shake out has gotten increasingly difficult over the past few years. In fact, I think there is an argument to be made that the Enduros may be the most competitive series in the Nation as there are at least 5 guys that have a realistic chance of winning the championship this year - and that is without factoring in Cory Buttrick, who is again sidelined with a knee injury. Picking a winner was no easy task as there are many variables to consider: injury, hard luck, consistency, and motivation to name a few. Also, the talent pool seems to grow deeper and more competitive each year. Gone are the days when a couple of domStewart Baylor inant riders would duel for 64 Trail Rider the National Championship - and that is certainly a good thing. Below we have selected the 5 riders (in random order) that have the best chance at earning the 2013 National Enduro Title. With each of these guys being so close in speed and talent, we identified motivation, consistency and exposure to injury as areas to help discern who may come out on top. For each rider we have made an argument for and against their chances of winning the 2013 the championship. Let's start with the reigning champ, Steward Baylor. The Case for Steward Baylor – It's hard to pick against the reigning champion given his natural talent and ability to overcome any setbacks. We knew he was a National Champion in the making, but I don't think many fans or pundits had him earning his first one at such a young age. This past year he was incredibly dominant despite being hampered by a wrist injury. He also wasn't officially on the Factory squad but still managed to win the 2012 championship based on pure speed and determination. I also don't get the impression that the www.TrailRider.com
