additional speed still isn't enough to contest for the overall championship. That being said, given the tight competition amongst the top 5. I like Jeff's chances for shoring up the # 2 spot. More importantly, Jeff made some inroads with his time keeping ability. I like him to finish second for the year. 3 Billy Burns - Early on Billy Burns Billy finished strong with a couple of second overall finishes. Unfortunately, he was unable to earn work credit and was consequently dropped from the results. This year he will be riding on the same row as Jim Senecal in hopes of being towed to top tier finishes. If this plan works, he could edge Staples. For now, we'll keep him in third overall. 4 John Sadowski is probably the best technical rider in the series. When others are on the binders heading into a technical section, John JOhn Sadowski leans back and grabs an- 3 4 0 other gear. He seems to go as fast over the ultra technical terrain as many of us do through flowing single track. It will be very interesting to see where a better motivated and focused John Sadowski ends up this year. If every Enduro were as gnarly as Hell in the Hills, I'd put John in second overall. Fortunately that's not the case. As unlikely as it is, I'd like to see John ride a few JDays - it could only help with his sprint speed. 5) Nick Canny has committed to the Enduro series for 2013. Nick has historically held AA speed and will mix it up with the projected 2-5 finishers. Unfortunately, he has a history of landing (literally) on his head. As he is older and more mature now, we expect that those days are behind him. If he plays it smooth, he can break the top 5. 6) Pete Tanner - Pete has been doing this for a long time. And if he shows up motivated and ready to race, he could easily slip inside the top 5. Pete does everything well: time keeps, rolls back the throttle regardless of what's in front of him, great sprint speed and the discipline to not be derailed by the little things. He will also probably line up with one of the top three AA's and keep pace. If he commits to the entire season, he'll shake things up. 6 Pete Tanner 7) Kevin Novello – It was a tossup between Pete and ......Being a NetRA enduro Rider isn't overly glamourous. January 2013 69
