AR/Husqvarna rider Andrew Delong carved
through the parched and varied Texas terrain en
route to his first ever National Enduro win at the
third round of the AMA/Rekluse National Enduro Series in Blackwell, Texas. The win marks the first time
Husqvarna has step foot on the top of the podium in
over a decade, when Fred Hoess did it last in 2003.
While others were dusting themselves off from crashes
and mishaps, Delong kept his head down and rode a
smart, consistent race - never falling from the top 5
throughout the day. The ECEA native set the tone
early by finishing just 2 seconds behind KTM/FMF Factory rider Charlie Mullins and Shenandoah Honda rider
Thad Duvall after the first test. Delong���s smooth and
consistent style was enough to hold off a late race
charge by FMF/Husaberg rider Russell Bobbitt. Heading
into the final test, Delong held a 21 second lead over
Andrew Delong rode a smooth and consitent
race to earn his ���rst National Enduro win.
