hen the first 350���s were uncrated back in
2011, the media and public alike worked
themselves into a hot lather at the idea of a
Goldilocks displacement that hung evenly between the
250f and 450. What actually materialized, after the dust
settled, was a bike that was closer in weight to a 450
with a motor that needed to be revved. The bright spot
was that despite the closeness in weight, the 350 was
still noticeably more nimble than the 450. While no one
really expected a bike that was light like a 250 with big
bore power, most of us hoped for something that strad-

dled the 250/450 line more evenly in terms of power.
And even though the new 2013 Husasberg 350 is only 6
pounds lighter than the 2013 KTM XC-W 450, its motor
is much improved compared to any previous 350 effort
while retaining an inherently more nimble feel than the
450. In short, the new Husaberg 350 (I haven���t tried the
new XC-F or XC-W 350���s) is going to resonate nicely
with the 4 stroke crowd.
