10 Trail Rider www.TrailRider.com With the uncertainty of the second half of the season and si ng one point behind 1 st , we knew if the sea- son con nued we would need to work hard. When the season started back up, he was ready and dom- inated the YXC2 class, but it went down to the last race for the championship. Nick knew what he had to do; he lined up more focused than ever. Off the start, he checked out and did not make it easy for anyone winning the 2020 YXC2 championship. Time to move up to the front row, YXC1! During the off-season Nicholas was able to do a few Enduros and raced the Sumter, SC. NEPG, where he earned first in the B 200 class on his KTM 125 SX. Living in the South and close to Ba ery Park Offroad, he was able to work on his raw speed and racing in sandy condi ons. As the start of the 2021 race season began, Nicholas got the opportunity to race on the Ba ery Park Off Road race team and was a force to be reckoned with. Racing at speed he has never seen before, Nick was able to earn 2nd for the year in YXC1 in GNCC. He also decided to add in a different discipline and do a Kenda Extreme Enduro where he was able to qualify for the main race. He's looking forward to trying more in 2022. In 2022, we made a bike brand change to Kawasaki and Nicholas is now part of Team Green on a KX112, racing the YXC1 class going for the championship in GNCC. Nicholas just wrapped up the Carolina XC 2021-2022 championship for the super mini. He will also be com- pe ng on his Team Green KX250x in the Mid East Hare Scramble Series, Full Gas Sprint Enduros and U.S. Sprint Enduros when possible. Go follow Nick on Instagram at trexnick246 and watch his season!
