30 Trail Rider www.TrailRider.com Half the me you'd have no idea what the right move was without the spo er's guidance. Dodge RAM Truck Demo – All the late model Dodge trucks showed up to get flogged by us mortals on the Dodge obstacle course. The Dodge Team put a guide in the truck with you which, at first, seemed unspor ng. But the guide knows where all the cool bu ons are and, when I'd be mid, he'd tell me to not be shy and climb that mound. So, I would. Very cool feature for the wheelers is a low mounted, low looking camera array so you can see precisely where your res are going and if you're going to hit anything you care about. Seminars – Two and half days of seminars, classes, and roundtables from experienced experts is a real treat. Topics include "How to make the perfect cup of cof- fee on the trail" to "Paris-Dakar-How I Got There"… and every subject in between. I a ended the Baja and South America oriented topics as well as a "Packing for a long-distance motorcycle tour" seminar. Some info I already knew, much I did not. Displays – It's impossible to see all the amazing gear, trailers, campers, and monster overland rigs at the show. Some of these rigs weigh as much as my house and cost twice as much. And every booth you stop at has passionate people that love to talk about their equipment, plans, and adventures. As good as the internet is, there is no subs tute for pu ng your hands and eyes on the physical product while it's explained by someone knowl- edgeable. Training – There was a good amount of moto training available over the weekend. ridewithus. com was providing a "new rider experience" for the yet to try it moto-curious. At the other end of the spectrum, Bill Dragoo was running the DART ADV Rider Training on site. Par cipants in both courses were all smiles. Yes, I'd go back. To see all the things I missed the first me and to enjoy being with the people who share my passion. And to take more demo rides... OX has 4 events planned for 2022 in Flagstaff, AZ, Redmond, OR, Loveland, CO, and Arrington, VA. I will try to get to at least one of the 2022 events.
