January 2024 21 Notes from Nate Campbell, A-rider, avid MTN bike racer, and all-around athlete. "The 500-dollar difference between the bikes didn't mean a whole lot to me other than the more expensive one had Brembo brakes, and the base model fi ed with Braktec". "For whatev- er reason, I was more comfortable on the base model." "The Domino grips and controls felt good, not cheap. It's nice they come with a headlight and taillight with a brake light switch that I found helpful when following the big guy a li le too close". The suspension was more than enough for the amount of power it had (or didn't have) but it was fun to smash the thro le all the way to the stop in any gear. "I did like the footpegs be er on the X model. Also, the re spec is interes ng. With that FIM re you can get a lot more out of that bike if it had some Nitromousse Plushies". I think the things that my hands touch, and my feet, and the res that touch the ground are important. Also, bu touching the seat. Seat height was appropriate for that size bike and not too s ff. Levers had nice detents at barrel adjusters, and the flanges were large and easy to move with gloves. I liked the digital display. It even told you what gear you were in. It was easy to read and the green neutral indicator light was cool. -Nate Supple suspension and generous ground clearance makes for a wonderful woods ride Supple suspension and generous ground clearance makes for a wonderful woods ride
