Although the bike was fi ed with a decent set of Works Performance shocks, due to the much further rearward loca on of the lower shock mounts on the THOR swing arm, a new set of 17.5" length shocks would be required. I'd been looking for an excuse to buy a set of VintCo's new Air Shocks and this AW440 was the perfect applica on. For those unfamiliar, VintCo has done a wonderful job of recrea ng the highly coveted Fox Airshox, they are truly a work of art and certainly look the part. Although I've owned a few sets of Fox Airs over the years, I've never fully mastered the tuning of these air-only (no springs) shock absorbers. Once we're comfortable with the process, we plan to do a feature on tuning these fine units in an upcoming issue of Trail Rider. DC Plas cs supplied the bodywork with new fenders and side panels. The color match to the original Falk fenders is spot-on and the fit is perfect. DC also sup- plied the air filter and reproduc on stainless steel filter cage along with swing arm bearings and spac- ers. Vintage enthusiasts are lucky to have companies such as DC and VintCo con nuing to invest in the sport of off-road riding and racing. Please support these fine folks!
