Stock res by Dunlop work adequately for our rocky/rooty terrain. The MX33F Front s cks sur- prisingly well while the AT81 rear shows li le wear in the 40 miles we've logged on this new ride. As expected, res should be considered terrain-specif- ic, and we'll be swapping to gummies soon in order to get everything we demand out of this bike. To sum it up, we're thoroughly impressed with the latest genera on 300 XC-W although It's hard to pinpoint exactly what we like about it. The en re package works amazing and makes its way through the woods with li le effort. Steep loose climbs are a treat when you let the bike do its job. The mo- tor begs to be lugged and the thro le body fuel injec on mapping was spot-on with no blubbering down low. We also like the XC gearbox as ra os are ghter without the large gap between first and second gear as it compliments the motor nicely. I must say, the new XACT Closed Cartridge fork is phe- nominal and is certainly a highlight of the pack- age. In closing, once again KTM has managed to raise the bar in the way of improving the product. What's interes ng is just when you think a woods bike can't get any be er, KTM seems to make it happen Will be interes ng to see how they can top this one! As for general specs, seat height is tall at 37.9" but KTM does offer a lowering kit for those of shorter stature. Ground clearance is generous at 14.7". Fuel capacity is 2.37 gallons. Those who enjoy longer rides might want to consider a larger tank. Weight is approximately 230 lbs. without fuel. Final drive, 13:45. MSRP 13,049.00 USD* -Kurt April 2024 13
