The one big mudhole on the course was in Test 5.
Since he'd spent so much me fiddling with his fork
seal, Brian was one of the last to hit the test. He
popped over a hill that dropped down into a creek
crossing. Without a decent brake to set his line up,
he only had one place to go and that turned out to
be a footpeg-deep rut that slammed him to a stop
in the middle of the creek. He had to li the bike
up out of the rut while standing in running water
in order to get going again. Despite that, he main-
tained that 99.9 percent of the course was the best
he'd ever ridden.
At the end of the day, Chance Bright took the over-
all again by a four-minute margin. Nate Krawczynski
took second with Kyle Deroche rounding out the
AA podium.
Even with no front brake, Brian s ll placed a respect-
able 8th AA, only 6 minutes off the pace, which a er
50 miles of racing is nothing to sneeze at. Complete

Huge thanks to the Post Enduro Riders for what
turned out to be a spectacular day of racing on Sun-
day, and all their hard work salvaging a nasty Satur-
day. Thanks to the Turkey Volunteer Fire Department
for stepping up to help everyone and to all the local
businesses who welcomed our riders. Caprock Can-
yon is a long way from home for most folks, but it's
worth it just for the experience. Stay an extra day or
two to explore the canyons and enjoy nature's beauty
at something less than race pace. It really is the wild,
wild west!
