May 2024 13 Both bikes have electric start as well as kick start, Keihin PWK carbs and VForce reeds. Suspension travel fore and a is 11.8 inches for the Pro and 10.6 for the Ranger. Dry weight is listed as 231 for the Pro with the Ranger about 10 pounds heavier. The MR Pro is available in 200, 250 or 300cc and comes in an eye-catching black and red livery that stands out from the crowd. The componentry is top-shelf stuff. Suspension is the excellent KYB fore and a with 48mm DLC-coated forks held by red anodized XTrig triple clamps. The engine is fi ed with an FMF Gnarly pipe, and a high compression head, and the adjustable power valve comes set to kick in early. Nissin brakes scrub off your speed, hubs are Goldspeed HD anodized red, and a sturdy plas c skidplate protects the undercarriage. The radiator is equipped with an automa c fan, which I honestly never heard kick on once all day, and there is a two-posi on mapping switch on the le handlebar which, as you'll read, isn't there just for decora on. The bike comes with good ligh ng, high and low beams, Polisport clutch and igni on guards, and Renthal Twinwall bars and grips, all good stuff. The Ranger line is available as a 200 or 300 with white plas cs and a red seat. The forks and shock are s ll quality KYB, with the fork being 46mm open chamber, s ll with adjustable com- pression and rebound, and a so er sprung shock with adjustable preload, comp, and rebound. The Ranger shock linkage is also adjustable with a cam-style mount. We didn't play with it, but it evidently allows for addi onal height adjustment and presumably the ability to tailor the suspen- sion to the individual. There are no stock guards on the Ranger, which can actually be somewhat of a selling point since many riders like to add their own brand of skid plate, barkbusters, etc. The most no ceable side-by-side differences are the seat height and the pipe. The Pro seat sits high and flat while the Ranger is obviously slimmer and shorter by nearly an inch and a half. With the so er suspension and lower seat, all of our test riders could easily mount and dismount the Ranger and sit on it with at least one, if not both feet flat on the ground. The Ranger pipe is drama cally slimmer than the Pro pipe which has a nice fat midsec on.
