Olin Daniels Olin Daniels The track is a brutal nearly eight-mile loop of powdery silt that many racers refer to as "moon dust". With temperatures in the high nine es, it was going to be an unforge able day. Last year's champion Olin Daniels would return again while GNCC is on summer break to follow up his win at round three. Olin has been gaining momentum in the GNCCs a er finishing second in four-stroke A lights at Snowshoe, West Virgin- ia. It looked like this was going to be Olin's race to win, but those in his close circle know that he notoriously struggles here. The stage was set, and it was gearing up to be another exci ng day of racing. Nick Kordana would grab the lead early with Mike Bloom si ng thirteen seconds behind him, déjà vu from the previous round. Adam Lewis would fol- low them closely in third. A er striking an unknown object in the dust and chaos of the first corner and going down, Olin would remount and cross the finish in seventh at the end of lap one. Lap two would bring more of the same with Kordana and Bloom duking it out at the front of the pack swapping posi ons and yelling back and forth to each other. Olin would cross the finish line once again in seventh at the end of lap two, leaving many scratching their heads wondering when Olin was going to launch his a ack. But, as the race wore on it would be Kordana who would ul - mately triumph Bloom again for the win. Bloom was s ll in high spirits a er the race, inching closer to that top step and pos ng a er the race saying, "I'm going to beat him, mark my words". It was the rookie Tyler Rocha to round out the podium.
