30 Trail Rider www.TrailRider.com Product Feature Product Feature System Tech Racing Disc Guards System Tech Racing Disc Guards We've been running System Tech Racing Disc Guards on several of our bikes for a few years now and thought it was high me to give STR some due recogni on. As with all STR products, they are made right here in the good 'ol USA with a lot of thought and care put into the design. STR Disc Guards are available for all Austrian makes and are a strong, durable, component de- sign. The guard or fin is made from G10 compos- ite, and the perimeter is wrapped with UHMW (ultra-high molecular weight) plas c mounted to a CNC machined billet aluminum carrier mount- ed with stainless steel hardware. Striking good looks aside, the real beauty of STR Disc Guards lies in how they perform. Being constructed of composite with a plas c outer edge, STR guards do not dig in and catch on rocks and other trail trash. They protect the rotors while assis ng the bike up and over the obstacle. For those who like their rides fresh looking, fins are color molded throughout their material thickness. They hide scratches, mashes, and bashes incredibly well while standing up to the test of me. Sold through Slavens Racing, the STR rear guard is priced at $155.00, and the front guard falls between $141.00 and $175.00 depending on model.
