Flashback! November 2024 5 With nothing short of a whirlwind of ac vity in recent weeks, we've wrapped up the November issue with no shortage of good news to share! First and foremost, the US Women's World Trophy Team has won the pres gious World Trophy at the 98 th Interna onal Six Day Enduro held Oct. 14-19 in Galicia, Spain. Six Hundred of the best riders in the world raced for six days straight, logging in over seven hours daily, ba ling mind, body, mechanicals, and the elements. With constant rain and challenging condi ons all week, the US Women's World Trophy Team of Brandy Richards, Rachel Gu sh, and Ava Silvestri, who filled in for the injured Korie Steede just a few weeks before the start of this year's ISDE, went into the final moto on day six with a three-minute lead and held their ground, once again, and for the fi h me I might add, taking home the pres gious ISDE Women's World Trophy! Along with the stellar performance of the Women's World Trophy Team, the United States also added a pair of podium finishes from the World Trophy Team of Johnny Girroir, Dante Oliviera, Josh Toth, and Cody Barnes, who replaced the injured Craig DeLong. The US fell just short of first-place France with a 7-minute lead. The Junior World Trophy Team of Mateo Oliveira, Grant Davis, and Jason Tino ba led to a third-place finish, while Sweden captured first-place honors and France taking second. As for the Club Teams, Team Eric Cleveland Memorial, consis ng of Jocelyn Barnes, Rachel Stout, and Olivia Pugh, became the first winner of the inaugural Women's Club Team division. During the event, Barnes, Pugh, and Stout were the top three women's club riders individually, helping the team win by just under two hours over second place Builth Wells MCC Ladies from Wales. Team GTBN (Good Team, Bad Name), aka FAQ, Jaden Dahners, Jhak Walker, and Layton Smail, stood proudly on the podium in second. Huge congrats to all involved in this great event, and we hope you enjoy the rider's perspec ve story by Rachel Gu sh on page 8 of this issue. On the home front, a er passing up on several years of invites, and with a free weekend, I made the trek out to western New York for the annual Wayne County Motorcycle Club's Monkey Bu Dual Sport. A two-day event consis ng of some of the sweetest single track this guy has ridden in years, the Mon- key Bu was a tremendous amount of fun, and we'll be sure to add this one to our roster from here on in. For those who live in the Northeast and are looking for a change of scenery, along with a break from riding rocks, we highly recommend you check this ride out! Another point of men on we're pre y proud of is that you might have no ced the he of this month's issue of Trail Rider. With an abundance of coverage thanks to our contributors Rachel Gu sh, Jeff De- Bell, Suzy Moody, and Clint Hawk, we had so much material this month that we added eight pages to the November issue. It's been 20 years since Trail Rider has been more than 40 pages, and thanks to our friends at Mo on Pro and Seat Concepts, we increased the page count this month instead of leav- ing solid content on the cu ng room floor. For those who spout "print is dead," we're happy to report that Trail Rider is healthy and thriving, presently pushing 55 years of producing a monthly print maga- zine. Thanks to all our adver sers and subscribers for s cking with us through thick and thin. We try to do our best to deliver the news of past to present riding and racing and we appreciate the support! -Kurt
