30 Trail Rider www.TrailRider.com A happy ending, then. There is gen- uine fondness in Jon's voice now as he con nues. "I just.. I dunno, it's one of my favorite Six Days of all me. It was gorgeous terrain, started off with beau ful weather that turned to rain mid-week and it got pre y gnarly, but the rest of it was pre y good, especially that final moto. Yeah.... New Zealand was rad! I ask John about his ISDE list since I always include it on the header of these ar cles. I didn't know that he had ridden an ISDE with both my dad and I, which I thought was pret- ty cool – 2002 with my dad in the Czech Republic, and France in 2022, where I had met him and his wife. That's a pre y big spread of years. Anyone with a grasp of mathema cs could tell you he's not a 20-year-old anymore, but he is s ll very much an athlete - you can see it in his build, even in how he rode his bike through the parking lot up to the pits, but most of all I could see it in the intensity shining in his blue eyes as he talks about the ISDE and what it means to him. I love Six Days! I love the nature of the event, kind of a trail ride out to the test, un l maybe it isn't like in New Zealand, but usually chill, kinda fun, like you're out riding with your buddies… then all the sudden you pull up to the test and it's so intense, you push as hard as you can for five or ten minutes, right up to the edge. Nothing like it. My company, SXS, along with Mojo Motorsport is spon- soring a Club Team again this year, made up of Anson Maloney, Ryder Tomaselli and Zane Roberts. It's nice to be able to give back to Six Days riders since I just love the event and love that people are s ll going over to ride Six Days. Go USA!
