July 2025 11 I was excited when Papa Kurt said we were going to Cobb Farm, a private motocross track not far from Trail Rider headquarters, for the preliminary test on this beast! It will also help break in the suspension quicker, loosening it up a bit before we send it to the knar. I set the rear suspension sag at 104-105 mm and opened up the clickers a bit before taking off. New bikes are really s ff for the first few hrs. Cobb Farm is a mile-long track with hard-packed sec ons, plenty of eleva on changes, fairly sized jumps, technical switchback corners, and playful li le step downs and ups. The place is epic! The 450 RC is a moto bike at heart, so what be er place to break her in? A er a few laps to learn the track, I soon felt comfortable on the 450 RC, hi ng every jump, except one big one during the first few laps. So that says a lot about how quickly I warmed up to this big Beta. The power is potent down low and mid, signs off a bit early on top, and is linear and usable, so there is no need to overrev anyway. The Beta 450 RC sounds sick with the Beta factory silencer! Love its bark, thank you, Beta! The 450 RC craves flow and corners. It's like a comfy shoe with KYB suspension and powerful Nissin brakes, and it looks like a factory ride right out of the crate. Cosmet- ically, there's no need for fancy graphics; just add your numbers. I'm looking forward to pu ng more seat me on this bike, pu ng it through its paces, and dialing it in. In the short period of me, we've had the 450 RC, we've quickly grown comfortable with it. We hope to put this fine Italian masterpiece on the podium soon! I think this is the bike you can do everything on and never lack anything! -BeauPro #291 Last minute stop the presses! Just a day before print, Our man Beau put the Beta 450 RC on the podium in its very first race with a FIRST PLACE A-Senior P27 win at Winchester Speedpark. First race, first place. Huge congrats Beau for bringing home the chrome for Trail Rider and Beta USA!
