We chose a set of Mika Metals bars, Hybrid Series, Seven Eighths Oversize Strength bars in "CR HIGH" bend. We like the feel of a modern, straighter bend bar on our vintage race bikes and these Mika Metals bars improve ergonomics in a big way. As for carbure on, we decided to toss the OEM worn out Bing carb for a Lectron Billetron Pro 38. We've had fantas c results with Lectron carbs over the years and like the fact that there's no ny jets to clog. Perfect for bikes that sit for extended periods of me. Although the pipe was a mess, a local friend, neigh- bor and welder did a great job of cu ng out the beat and ba ered por ons of the header and silencer and welding in new metal. Cosme cally, this is about as far as we're going to take this bike. As men oned above, plans are to race this machine and just have fun with it. COR Moto Graphics whipped up a package that resembled the stock graphics nicely and although cri cs could pick this build apart, we're quite pleased with it. We've got more in store for this iconic beast and we hope to feature a ride report soon!
