16 Trail Rider www.TrailRider.com
Well, folks, with Richardson's Farm being the last
NETRA event of the season, racers came out in
droves with an incredible 334 riders lined up for
the 11 AM race with a whopping 84 in Sports-
man Class! How does NETRA handle 84 riders in
one class? Two rows, my friends, and the start
was something to behold. Amazingly, despite the
sloppy condi ons, Sportsman class issues were
minimal, and all seemed to handle their own quite
well, with Hoot Owl's Eric Staplins taking the win.
The real excitement was watching the pros ba le
bar to bar for two full hours of some of the most
grueling condi ons this old racer has ever wit-
nessed. As for Team Trail Rider, our man Keith was
well prepared and ready to do ba le in his very
first NETRA A-Class race. With a fresh set of Bridge-
stone's front and rear, Keith lined up on a gate of
16 A-Seniors, only to get a horrible start, dead last
out of the gate due to the bike being a bit reluc-
tant to fire. As Keith does, he dug deep and did
his best, picking off his compe on one by one,
