He didn't just meet expecta ons, he exceeded them. Josh graduated at the top of his basic training and specialty schools, eventually serving as an EOD specialist, one of the military's most demanding and dangerous roles. For the past five years, he has earned commenda ons along- side his unit for excep onal performance. But beyond the uniform and accolades, Josh is known most for his heart. He speaks openly about mental health, encouraging fellow veterans to find healthy outlets and community. He champi- ons Thro le Therapy not just as recrea on, but as recovery. Proof that healing doesn't always happen on a therapist's couch. Some mes it happens on a trail, helmet on, mind clear. When Josh deployed, he sold his dirt bike. Like many service members, he put personal passions on hold for duty. That sacrifice didn't go unno ced. In recogni on of his service, resilience, and impact, Josh was nominated by his wife, Bryonny Torres, and friend Jay Smith to receive the Scars & Stripes 2025 Veteran Bike Build. What followed was a com- munity effort powered by gra tude. Through dona ons and generous sponsors, Josh was surprised with a brand-new, custom-built 2024 GasGas 350F, from Hutch Motorsports, customized by Factory Flori Racing, and supported by members of Scars & Stripes. When the moment came, and Josh saw the bike, the emo on was unmistakable. It wasn't just a dirt bike; it was recogni on and be- longing. It was a reminder that his service and his sacrifices ma er. Service runs deep in Josh's bloodline. His fami- ly's military history stretches back to the Revo- lu onary War, with genera ons answering the call through every major conflict. The sacrifices of his grandmother's lineage, his great-uncle, grandfathers, and uncle form a legacy of duty that Josh proudly carries forward. January 2026 25
