March 2026 13 Wiring: This is a street-legal bike in Europe, so it has a bunch of extra wiring for signals, switches, etc. that we don't have here. Many of these wires are bundled in the airbox and behind the headlight. For long-term use, I'll reroute and clean up some of this to avoid wiring problems from prolonged use. It's also annoying that it comes with a nice LED headlight, but only the running lights illuminate in stock trim. There's an accessory wire jumper that comes with the bike that you can plug into to keep the high beam on all the me. I plan to wire a toggle switch on the headlight mask to alternate between off, low, and high beam. Manual: It comes with a printed manual! Wowzers! What's the bo om line? The Fan c XE300 is a very nice motorcycle, well-equipped and highly capa- ble out of the box. Its target demographic is the 30-to-50-year-old "A" Rider who s ll wants a racy bike that is a ton of fun to ride. If you're younger than 30, you'll love this bike, but you probably can't afford it. If you're in your 60s and want a chill trail riding experience, you'll probably want to look elsewhere. Central Powersports Distribu on in Texas has all the Fan c-specific bits in stock, and they're easy to get through a CPD dealer, or order online and have them shipped to your house. Thanks to the Yamaha influ- ence, the a ermarket is already spooled up to equip you with wear items (sprockets, brake pads, bearings), protec on items (skid plates, shark fins, footpegs), and exhausts (pipes, spark arrestors, pipe guards). In closing, this is the coolest "rare" bike I've ever ridden, that would also be the easiest "rare" bike to tune, work on, ride, and own. For more informa on on the Fan c XE300, visit fan c- motorusa.com or give Trail Rider adver ser, St Hilaire Motorsports a call at 603 948 1015 as they are now a Fan c dealer!
