AHRMA Land - Grand Opening AHRMA Land - Grand Opening Mid-Atlantic Season Off to a Thrilling Start Mid-Atlantic Season Off to a Thrilling Start By Joshua Schucker By Joshua Schucker 16 Trail Rider www.TrailRider.com Jonathon Baer leading the pack Jonathon Baer leading the pack Here in the Mid-Atlan c region, the weather is star ng to turn the corner from a winter too o en dipping into single digits. The landscape is turn- ing green, the temperature is rising, and folks are star ng to think about spring and summer plans, trips, vaca ons, and all the fun to be had. Common des na ons for many people are amusement parks, theme parks, whatever you choose to call them, because you know, they amuse you. My personal assistant, Siri, told me that over 120 million Ameri- cans visit a theme park each year. Turns out that is a lot more a endees than your typical AHRMA race, but I'd wager that the AHRMA Mid-Atlan c (MA) region's version of an amusement park is just as amusing, if you're two-wheel inclined, and arguably cheaper than the standard version. The lines at "AHRMA Land" are quite shorter as well, and when you find yourself stuck in line, o en a rev of the engine or a holler will have people moving over and le ng you by! Can you imagine that working in the serpen ne ca le chutes…errr, I mean, queue line of your favorite over-crowded fun-factory? Ok, AHRMA Land it is! But what do we ride first? Taking a look at the park map (schedule) it looks like the first thing we come to is certain to be a thrill ride. With a name like Adrenaline Ridge, how can it be anything but? This venue is new to the Mid-Atlan c schedule for 2026 and serves as a one-day, motocross-only, kickoff to the season. Always prowling the Western Pennsyl- vania landscape for prospec ve race loca ons, Mick Spisak iden fied Adrenaline Ridge as an opportunity for the MA series. To this point, the facility had served as a popular prac ce track in Rural Valley, a rural lo- cale about an hour east of Pi sburgh. Mick convinced the track owners to host the vintage racing crew as one of their first organized events. By all accounts, the event went quite smoothly for a first- me a empt. A Friday rain shower presented some slippery prac ce condi ons, but the track rebounded into near-perfect condi ons through Moto 1. Was it a thrill ride? For sure! One glance at the un- dula ng terrain that dominates the property assured this was going to be a roller coaster for bikes. Nary a level piece of ground exists outside the parking area. The motocross course is draped swoopingly across the horizon like a sine wave interspersed with sweeping Photos By Lost in a Photograph Photos By Lost in a Photograph
