Flashback! July 2026 5 Halt the presses, we've got big news to share! We're so excit- ed to report that our friend, Trail Rider contribu ng editor and factory-backed Rieju team member, Rachel Gu sh, has won her second EnduroGP World Championship! A seven-round series that includes Italy, Spain, Finland, Portugal (twice), France, and Wales, Rachel secured the champion- ship as a result of a whopping 41-point lead with two races remaining in Fafe, Portugal, on June 21 st . -The maximum points second place could score, with all races completed, is 40, so Rachel's win was mathema cally locked with two races to go! This is huge news, my friends, as Rachel's 2025 EnduroGP Championship was the first me an Amer- ican, male or female, had won a European Enduro World Championship. To back it up with her 2026 win, with two races remaining no less, shows the level of talent and dedica on this remarkable young woman has for the sport of off-road racing. Yes, we're incredibly proud of her, and Rachel reports she plans to race the remaining events in prepara on for the 2026 Interna onal Six Day Enduro, also to be held in Portugal, the week of October 12 th through 17 th . You can look forward to Rachel's full report on her 2026 EnduroGP win in the upcoming August issue. On the horizon, we're excited about the annual Northeast 24 Hour Challenge to be held the weekend of July 18 th & 19 th in Odessa, New York. As in a number of years past, Trail Rider Magazine will have a six- man team entered in the Sportsman 1 class. This year, led by our friend Keith Taylor. We're told there's s ll a small window of opportunity to sign up, so if you're thinking of entering this epic event, don't hesitate, as it's unique, one heck of a challenge, and quite different from what you're probably used to. Another upcoming event well-deserving of men on is the 28 th Annual Hancock Quarry Run Dual Sport. The Quarry Run, a two-day event based out of Hancock, New York, with camping right on the Delaware River, has been an annual favorite here at Trail Rider. Since its incep on, all three owners of this fine publica on have been involved in promo on and par cipa on and proud to do so. The Quarry Run is a big event, typically drawing 700+ riders, and offers approximately 300 miles of riding over the two days. Given its rugged loca on in the mountains surrounding the upper Delaware River valley, it's not your typical dual sport. In fact, if one rode all the hero sec ons, it's one brutal hard enduro! As Trail Rider's former Bossman, Paul Clipper used to say, "Don't take a dual sport to the Hancock Dual Sport"! For those interested, see the event flyer in the back of this issue. Our friend and Ossa aficionado Alex Snoop asked us to share the news that the ever-popular Vintage Day At The Ranch, aka the "Onion Farm," fun ride will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12, with a rain date of Sept. 13. Offering 400 acres of trails, a grass track, trials sec ons, along with a swap meet, food truck, live music and camping, this should be a hoot! Those who've a ended past Onion Farm events have raved about the loca on, trails, and general camaraderie they've enjoyed. This year will be a first for us, and we plan on making the scene. All are invited and the address is, 150 Jessup Road, Warwick, New York. For more informa on, contact Alex Snoop at 845 978 7017
