While Riordan and Walker traded the lead, FMF KTM Factory Racing's Jason Tino quietly pieced together another consistent ride. Tino moved into second on lap five and held the posi on to the finish, while Walker rounded out the podi- um a er leading por ons of the race. The ba le for Top Amateur honors also came down to the highly compe ve 250 A class. Cooper Jones put together one of the strongest rides of the weekend, racing to 16th overall while claiming both the Top Amateur award and the 250 A class victory. Hunter Smith crossed the line just one posi on behind in 17th overall to finish second in both the Top Amateur standings and the 250 A class, while Lane Whitmer completed the amateur podium with an 18th overall finish and third in class a er another consistent ride. Sunday morning belonged to the WXC compe tors and provided plenty of excitement as AmPro Yamaha's Dan- ielle McDonald and FMF KTM Factory Racing's Brandy Richards added another chapter to one of the season's best rivalries. McDonald wasted li le me moving to the front, taking control on the opening lap and beginning to build what appeared to be a comfortable advantage. Richards, however, had other plans. A er trailing by more than 24 seconds at the end of lap two, the KTM rider mounted an impressive comeback, cu ng McDonald's lead to just 3.6 seconds by the end of lap three and se ng up a tense finish over the final two laps. With the pressure moun ng, McDonald responded with two of her strongest laps of the race. Refusing to crack under Richards' late charge, the Yamaha rider main- tained her pace through the closing miles to secure her third WXC victory of the season, ending Richards' three- race winning streak in the process. Richards crossed the finish line 14.220 seconds behind in second, while Rock- star Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing's Korie Steede overcame early adversity to secure another podium finish in third.
