By this me, your editor Kurt was on cloud nine.
The ranch property was mind-blowing, the hospi-
tality was spectacular, the weather was as perfect
as it gets, and the courses couldn't have been
be er. I began to think deeply about the scene, and
it brought me back to one of my favorite stories by
the legendary Rick "Super Hunky" Sieman tled
"Enduro Heaven," a tale about a good man and
enduro rider who passed, and when he met St.
Peter at the Pearly Gates, he was welcomed into a
land where everything was as perfect as it gets. The
grounds, people, bikes, and everything associated
wa surreal. My summary of my first trip to the Vin-
tage Day at the Ranch was about as close to "Enduro
Heaven" as this old dirt freak will ever experience!
Huge thanks to Ed and Jodi Sobiech, Alex Snoop, and
all involved in hos ng this wonderful event. I greatly
appreciate the invite!
