Flashback! October 2026 5 With our friend Rachel Gu sh wrapping up her second EnduroGP championship and recently backing up her Canadian Na onal Enduro Cham- pionship with another 2026 win, which you can read all about deeper in this issue, we thought it was me to give another rider whose hard work and dedica on have prevailed. This fine young man is Tyler Rocha. Tyler first graced the cover of Trail Rider 10 years ago, at only 8 years old. With natural ability and the sup- port of his parents, Bruce and Lynn Rocha, who encourage and support his interests, Tyler has flourished in the sport of off-road racing. 2025 was a banner year for Tyler, winning the extreme- ly compe ve NETRA Hare Scrambles Champi- onship. What's super cool is our friend Tyler has backed up his 2025 win by taking the 2026 Hare Scrambles Championship with a whopping FOUR races remaining! With a solid first-place finish at the first NETRA Enduro of the 2026 season, Tyler and his family commi ed to compe ng in both the NETRA En- duro series and his favorite form of racing, Hare Scrambles. Tyler's 2026 NETRA Enduro season is shaping up nicely, and the possibility of winning the Enduro championship also, will come down to the wire, but it looks promising at this point. What's the recipe for all this success in the Rocha camp, you ask? Well, it is rather simple. Tyler begins each season with two new KTMs. He's a die-hard "Orange Bleeder" and prefers the 250 XC-F 4-stroke. Both bikes are iden cal except for a ligh ng kit on his Enduro bike. His re preference is simple, like many compe ng in the rocks and roots of New England: Tyler prefers the tried- and-true Bridgestone M59 front and a gummy rear, both stuffed with Nitromousse Plushies. This combo has proven to work well, and the rota on is three rear res to every front, with the Nitromousse inserts swapped for new at every re change. Tyler's dad, Bruce, handles the vast majority of the race prep, but in recent years, Tyler has become quite adept at wrenching also. You can look forward to reading more about this fine young man, as we have plans for him in an upcoming issue. On the vintage front, and thanks to our friend Joe Chodnicki, Trail Rid- er Magazine is proud to have a three-person team, amongst the eight US teams, at the 2026 Enduro Vintage Trophy (aka Vintage Six-Days) to be held on September 29-October 3rd in Zschopau, Germany. ISDE Vets Darrell Diamond (ISDE '94), Lissa Aldakimov (ISDE '93), and Mike Sheetz (EVT vet and AA Enduro Champion) are heading up Team Trail Rider, and we're immensely proud of our friends. I'm confident they'll give it their all, represen ng Trail Rider on the world stage in Germany. Heading up the United States on the US Trophy Team will be ISDE legends Fred Hoess (29 Six Days, 19 Gold Medals), AMA Hall of Famer Terry Cunningham (8 Six Days, 6 Gold Medals), and AHRMA savage Burns (4 Six Days, earning a Gold Medal in Mexico). With 5- me EVT Overall winner Hoess leading this dream team, I'm sure these good men will do us Americans proud! EVT Silver Vase Teams consist of the US Silver Vase Team of Marc Grossman (5 Six Days and ECEA Cham- pion), Robert Johnson (3 Six Days), and Chris Gilles- pie. Lendon Smith's Seat Concepts Silver Vase Team includes three-year EVT vet James Lubeniewski, industry vet and motocrosser Pete Murray, and Jerry Cur s (Panama Na onal Champion and GNCC racer). The remaining four US EVT Club Teams are ENDUROS- PEC USA, including Warren Healy (Pro Ironman Desert Racer), George Pennington (CORS Champ), and Sco Price (AHRMA Na onal Champ). MADE IN AMERICA, including Johnny Barber (3 Six Days), vintage enthusiast Mitch Barnes, and AHRMA champ Tod Miller. BHS Memorial, including Clint Hawk, Trev- or Kine, and AMA champ Brad Sells. Rounding out the US EVT Club Teams are the USA CLUB team, including AHRMA enthusiasts Carlos Cheesman, Haim Beressi, and Larry Arrington.
