Flashback! November 2026 5 Looking back, the month of October was nothing short of a whirlwind of excitement from beginning to end, and we're excited to share the news! On the vintage front, the US Vintage Trophy Team has claimed the FIM Enduro Vintage Trophy! Yes, my friends, the United States has won the Enduro Vintage World Trophy (EVT) for the first me in the history of this great event. Fred Hoess, Billy Burns, and AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famer Terry Cunningham claimed the Vintage World Trophy at the tenth running of the event in Zschopau, Germany. Led by Team Manager and Trail Rider contribu ng editor Suzy Moody, this dream team of excep onal talent flat-out crushed it this year, and you can look forward to the full sto- ry deeper in this issue. I'd also like to express my gra tude for being chosen to host a team at this year's EVT amongst 24 riders from the US, the largest con ngent to date. Led by my good friend, Ret. U.S. Army Lt. Col. Joe Chodnicki, Team Trail Rider, consis ng of Lissa Aldakimov, Darrell Diamond, and Mike Sheetz, represented our country with dignity and grace. Lissa, aboard a '93 Suzuki DR350, flat- out crushed it with zero breakdowns or issues. An ISDE vet, Lissa, along with her husband Rob, who handled logis cs and support, put on quite the show in Germany. A fierce compe tor and colorful writer, Lissa has also offered an entertaining look at the challenges and tribula ons Team Trail Rider faced at this year's EVT. On the Six Days front, we've got more exci ng news to share! Brandy Richards, Korie Steede, and our friend Rachel Gu sh have captured their seventh Women's World Trophy tle, and their fouth in a row, breaking the record e with Australia! Brandy Richards also claimed the individual women's class victory, with Korie Steede finishing third. The US World Trophy Team of Johnny Girroir, Grant Davis, Dante Oliveira and Steward Baylor faced s ff compe on this year, finishing in 4th place, a mere 24 seconds off the podium. Our Junior World Trophy Team of Cooper Jones, Jason Tino, and Toby Cleveland took a hard-earned 2nd place on the podium. Wrapping it up, our US Club Teams swept the top four! Closer to home, in last month's Flashback column, we shared the news of our friend Tyler Ro- cha winning the 2026 NETRA Hare Scrambles Championship with three races remaining. Well, Tyler has been on such a roll that he's also won the '26 NETRA Enduro Championship too! Excit- ing news indeed: in 55 years of NETRA history, only three racers have won dual championships, and Tyler is now the fourth! To top it off, Tyler looks set to end the season by also wrapping up the Vintage championship. This feat could be a first in NETRA history. Watching this young man flourish in off-road racing since he was a child has been a wonderful experience. Huge congrats and respect to Tyler and his parents, Bruce and Lynn Rocha. Happy to be living in such exci ng mes. Yes, we're living in some challenging mes too, but we've also got a lot to celebrate! Be proud, my friends! -Kurt
