As for the power delivery, Beta has ghtened up the gearing a bit, and the bike feels like it has no ceably more low-end grunt than our '23 mod- el. Paired with the light weight of 214 lbs. (dry) and the map switch on the aggressive mode, the torque rivals most modern 250s. So much. In fact, I used rain mode on steep climbs to eliminate wheel spin on steep loose climbs. The power valve is also adjustable for those looking to dial in the power to the terrain at hand. This combina on of light, 125- like weight and power that will give a 250 a run for its money equals one incredibly fun machine. One drawback of most small-bores is that they can be buzzy, transferring engine vibra ons to the rid- er's hands. Beta addressed this issue by equipping the X-PRO models with quality Xtrig FlexFix handle- bar mounts. FlexFix is a bar-mount system that uses elastomers to absorb engine and chassis vibra on. This system also dampens forces on the handlebars in both horizontal and ver cal direc ons while maintaining handlebar precision. Having dealt with vibra on issues in the past with various brands of bars and mounts, the FlexFix system works, as a er three solid hours of ripping the 200 X-PRO, my hands weren't the slightest bit numb. As a bonus, it offers plenty of handlebar adjustment to adapt to the rider's body size and preferences. As for the suspension, the fork is a 48 mm Sachs SHC with a single spring and adjustable compres- sion and rebound. The shock is an aluminum-body Sachs with adjustable rebound and toolless hi/low- speed compression adjusters. The forks and shock complement each other well, delivering a plush ride over rocks, roots, and your typical trail trash. Interes ngly enough, it feels like the 2027 200 RR X-PRO is sprung for a full-sized man, as it rides high in the stroke even with 210 lbs. of your editor Kurt aboard. Basically, given the X-PRO's intended pur- pose of fun trail riding, I'm more than happy with the suspension right out of the crate as the bike goes where it's pointed with no sudden surprises. The brakes are quality Nissin units with a nice pro- gressive feel and no hint of grabby-ness.
