Teddy Landers How it took Teddy Landers 40 years to finish the Berkshire Trial By Jeff Debell I f you missed the 2013 ISDT Reunion Ride at Jim Hoellerich's Ayrhill Farm, you really missed a spectacular and historic weekend. In addition to all the ISDT veterans, cool old motorcycles, great weather, incredible trails and everything else that made this a special weekend, everybody there had their own tales and remembrances of their experience. Here is one tale that is just a little extra special. In 1968, Teddy Landers was living in Michigan and bought the first Yamaha DT-1 imported into the state. He started riding enduros to offset the inactivity from his weekday desk job as an engineer. In the fall of '68 Teddy recalls being passed by a buzzing Sachs engine…the Penton sportcycle had arrived on the enduro scene!
