In this case, going with a boutique bike was a positive experi- ence and the fun factor keeping pace with your riding buddies on larger machines is high. Now that Husqvarna is a KTM brand, parts should continue to be readily available. I'll put at least one more year on the Husky WR 144 and look at tweaking the gearing from the stock 13/50 to 13/51, along with replacing my pancaked pipe with an FMF or Pro Circuit . When I eventu- ally move back up to a 200/ 250 there's little doubt my riding skills will have improved. If you are up for something different and have a chance at spending a season on a small bore, take it!
