November 2016 9 help absorb large, unexpected hits, such as hidden rocks and roots, reac ng to spikes that exceed the Base Valve se ngs. Sco s presets the High Speed Valve at one full turn out from the full s ff posi on. Sco s recommends adjustments are made in 1/8 turn increments un l you fi nd a se ng you are comfortable with. I've personally never deviated from the delivered se ng as it's worked very well for our applica ons. (All 2 stroke KTM's) What's interes ng and makes this unit so desirable to us is the High Speed Valve has less eff ect as you increase the number of clicks on the Base Valve. Conversely, the High Speed Valve has more eff ect as you back out the Base Valve. We've found this se ng to work great for our applica on as you cannot feel the damper ac on and just rely on the High Speed Valve to handle to the hidden trail junk. The Sweep Control Valve adjustment screws are located on the sides of the unit. The Sweep Valves control the distance of dampening force away from centerline out to either side un l it releases. The stabilizer is then free to move allowing for freer movement while sawing the bars in the ght stuff . (As men oned above, there is no damping ac on returning to center) The Sweep Valves off er four se ngs, 34, 44, 54 and a full 90 degrees of damping ac on. Sco s presets the Sweep at 44 degrees. While selec ng our new Sco s damper, we opted for their Triple Clamp Combo Kit which includes a Sco s/BRP billet aluminum triple clamp with matching anodized bar clamp. The bar clamp is fastened with rubber moun ng cones that help isolate vibra ons, further reducing fa gue. Installa on of the Sco s components was very straigh orward with easy-to-use instruc ons. It took us about an hour to complete the install and now that this highly respected and relied-upon component is installed, we can concentrate on what else our new scoot will get dressed with before hi ng the trails! -Kurt
