cover also removed. On our par cular model, the stator is located on the outer cover, and within a couple minutes, we had the old stator pulled and wiring harness disconnected. Trail Tech's 100-wa DC stator is also a "plug and play" component with only a few wires to be connected. The exis ng voltage regulator is swapped out with Trail Tech's regulator/rec fi er and plugged into the new stator harness. During this process, we took our me, thoroughly cleaned all components and used dielectric grease on all wiring connec ons. All told, the stator installa on took us about an hour. Upon tes ng of the 100-wa DC ligh ng system on our 300, the results were staggering. This is one bright ligh ng package and quite an upgrade over the impressive X2 light swap we installed on our 200. We were now ready to do some night riding. The dual beam X2 shines a deep pinpointed beam that fans out nicely and is more than adequate for a fun evening rip through the woods. Our 300, now fi ed with the 100-wa DC stator punches a hole in the darkness. We took it for a sweet 20-mile ride through our favorite technical single-track and it did the job with fl ying colors. If you're interested in extending your riding season, we highly recommend Trail Tech's very reasonably priced ligh ng packages For more informa on visit: trailtech.net December 2016 11
