Day 2 of the reunion is a shorter course of about 30 miles so that everyone fi nishes in me for the early a ernoon fi nal grass track motos. The trail work was similar to Day 1 and included a med terrain test with more single track and ORV trails, no stop- pers, and a return to the parc ferme to prep for the grass track. There were eight motos with the last moto featuring the fast guys. The track again used the club's motocross track which weaves through a grove of pine trees and then looped out onto the fast and winding grass track on the hillside and fi eld adjacent to the camping area, parc ferme and clubhouse. The grass track off ered excellent spec- ta ng and there were some great ba les in every moto, friends banging bars with friends for brag- ging rights. The last moto had one of the best duels with Kevin Hutchinson on his KDX slugging it out with Chris Graber on a Can Am. Jeff Frede e let them go at it, cruising comfortably in third place, perhaps wai ng for them to tangle and go down so he could leisure- ly ride by and wave, but it was not to be. Hutchin- son stuff ed Graber in a corner and made it s ck for the win, but it was a real treat to watch them and the other fast guys ripping up the track. At the end of the day it was Steady Freddie using his 34 years of Six Days experience to take overall for the weekend, fi nishing a li le over half a min- ute ahead of second place Graber with Hutch in third. Individual and team results for the weekend can be found on the AHRMA website www.ahrma. org. Special thanks to the Razorback Riders and trail boss Zahn Lewis for another fantas c reunion weekend. And to AHRMA cross country coordinator Becky Hayes for all of her hard work making the cross country series so successful this year. As it is in every great event, it is the hard work of the club members that makes the ride so much fun. 14 Trail Rider
