Beta 250 and 300RR Long-Term Test
There's no doubt the New England woods scene has been a "sea of orange" for quite some me now. The
op ons are rather slim for serious off -roaders who dare to be diff erent, either re-fi t a motocross bike for
woods work or ride something that was designed for more entry-level riders.
In recent years, the "sea" has started to see a bit of compe on from bikes from Italy dressed in red and
white. Yes — Beta — and they are dead serious about their woods machines. Our local Beta dealer, Maine
Cycle, has enjoyed tremendous success with their Beta's (Owner Jim Myrick does a LOT of riding) and
they've proven to be very reliable mounts. Over the last two seasons, Myrick has been instrumental in
conver ng more than a few brand-loyal riders into Beta lovers.
A er riding with Myrick on his Beta 430 for most of this year, and having tested the Beta's X-Trainer back
in August, we were very interested when Beta USA President Tim Pilg off ered up a pair of Beta 2017 two-
