20 20 20 2 2 items. No big deal. I have to admit that it has evolved a li le from that me but mostly from low-priced bling. That's just good for the soul, though! The end result was outstanding. The 851 mods, while being unnecessary, I like to brag about them. Many people have taken the rela vely respectable powerband of the YZ 125 and made it really unusable unless one races on a track. Tim did add a good bit of hit and brought it on earlier in the powerband. He didn't kill the already low off -idle torque of a 125. The moving of the powerband came at the slight expense of the bike signing off early (nothing is for free). I added an FMF 2 Fa y to counteract that eff ect. The result was perfect. The early hit was now complemented by the ability to over-rev slightly. Some over-rev is important in a 125 since an early shi may kill your momentum. Some try to kill a 125 and make the power too bu ery. The 125 is already about knowing when to shi , what gear and use a clutch. Oh yeah — and keep it pinned! I went with the theory that when I want power on such a bike, I want it now and as much as I can get. The bike has that. It comes on like a 250. If that's too much, one can add a fl ywheel weight. Some love them; some hate them. I think it takes away from a 125. Like I said, I like mine hit in the manner of a 250 (but obviously not as hard). The main diff erence is that
