been daun ng on a full-sized enduro bike are tackled with ease. A er an hour or so, this test rider soon found himself challenging large boulders and rock outcroppings that were never considered to be riding areas. This is a bike that doesn't need much space to enjoy and fi ed with an electric fan for cooling, slow going and fi nding your own way through the brush can be done all day long. Suspension-wise, the Contact is sprung very light, but given the slower speeds the bike is designed for, it felt just fi ne out of the box. In fact, we didn't even mess with the clickers or sag. It soaks up trail junk incredibly well, but will let you know when it's pushed too hard. Like most special purpose machines, a proper spring set and possible valving would make this fun li le bike even be er. During the two weeks we had the Gas Gas 250 Contact to play with, we found it to be a bike you want to ride any chance given. It doesn't need much room either. Pick a rocky area near your home and push your limits on terrain you would have never given a second thought to riding. Price-wise, the 250 Contact is a bargain at $5995. This is one bike that we hated to give back as it was just so much fun to ride. It's a bike that will challenge you, and in the end, make you a be er rider. As we've always said, motorcycles are tools and this is a tool that would make a great addi on to any motorcyclist's collec on. www.gasgasusa.net -Kurt
