8 Trail Rider www.TrailRider.com Product Review Lectron Fuel Systems Carburetor Timeless in Design Anyone who's been playing with dirt bikes for any length of me has certainly endured their fair share of je ng woes and experiences. It's especially true for those of us who ride at higher eleva ons and those in the northeast who deal with vast temperature swings during a ride. Most of us older dirty bikers will have a je ng draw in their tool box chock full of enough brass to build a couple of tubas. Heck, amongst our riding group, we probably could build an en re brass band. This can get old over me. You've fi nally got your new ride running clean and je ed perfectly only to have the cold weather set in and the je ng game starts all over again. Access to the carb on newer bikes can further complicate the chore. Back in the day, the hot set-up for woods riding was the Lectron carburetor. It worked so well that John Penton off ered them as standard equipment on his later models. What made the Lectron so special back then was its simplicity. There were no interchangeable jets to deal with, no mul ple fuel circuits 8 Trail Rider www.TrailRider.com
