ABOUT CYSTIC FIBROSIS (CF) By parcipang in the Classic, you are creang a brighter future for thousands of children and adults living with this complex disease. CF is a genec disease that affects the digesve and respiratory systems. There is no cure. The necessary funds to bale this devastang disease are raised through special events like the Classic. With your help over the past 36 years, the Classic has raised $2,338,060 for the CF Foundaon and has made a lasng impact in the quest for a cure and given the children and adults with CF the quality of life and future they deserve. Important Note on Aendance at Foundaon Events: To reduce the risk of geng and spreading germs at CF Foundaon-sponsored events, we ask that everyone follow basic best pracces by regularly cleaning your hands with soap and water or with an alcohol-based hand gel, covering your cough or sneeze with a ssue or your inner elbow and maintaining a safe 6-foot distance from anyone with a cold or infecon. Medical evidence shows that germs may spread among people with CF through direct and indirect contact, as well as through droplets that travel short distances when a person coughs or sneezes. These germs can lead to worsening symptoms and speed decline in lung func- on. To further help reduce the risk of cross-infecon, the Foundaon's aendance policy recommends inving only one person with CF to an indoor Foundaon-sponsored event at a specific me. For the outdoor poron, the Foundaon recommends that all people with CF maintain a safe 6-foot distance from each other at all mes.
