Well folks, if you've been looking for a more durable, hand-cra ed, alternative in route sheet handling, look no further. Local New Englander, Leonard Neil of Active Minds Engineering, has perfected the route sheet holder. e Active Minds Engineering R3 was built for those who like well-engineered, con- structed components and the Active Minds R3 won't disappoint. e Active Minds primary route sheet holder is the R3 with either a Ram Mount or bar mount. e R3's aluminum extrusion housing measures 3 inches tall x 3.5 inches wide x 1.25 inches deep, giving a bit more room for wider route sheets. No more cutting names off of roads. e knobs are aluminum. Sha s and re- taining clips (designed to handle side pressure) are stainless steel, keeping in mind we don't just ride on blue sky days when the ground is dry. Tension on the sha s is adjustable by putting pressure on rubber O-rings sandwiched between two washers to avoid route sheets from any backlash. It's pretty simple, just loosening a set screw on the knob. You either push the sha in to increase tension or pull out to reduce pressure.
