16 Trail Rider The final event of the weekend was a motocross test. CCR members had mowed a three mile course that wrapped around the Todd family fields into a small woods sec on and back. Com- pe on was fierce and although MX has never been my bag, the track was amazing, and the big 430 Husky ate it up like a champ. Having the op- portunity to rip with some of my ISDT heroes was a special feeling for sure. Hats off to our friends at Cayuga County Riders for hos ng such an iconic event. In the end, 34 riders from all age groups entered along with two ISDT Veterans. Former factory rider Dwight Rudder, 7X ISDT/E Gold Medalist was looking smooth on his 1975 Can Am 125. Darryl Diamond, ISDE '94 Tulsa Oklahoma overcame adversity all weekend with bike prob- lems. Being the ironman that he is, Diamond didn't let mechanical problems keep him down one bit. Saturday morning, Diamond rode most of lap one with a broken clutch cable. Saturday A ernoon Diamond pushed his borrowed IT200 close to a half mile, to the next check where he made the needed repairs. As for myself, having the opportunity to mingle with such greats of the sport I love so much was a blast! Cayuga County Riders, you can be sure we'll see you there next year!
