was able to get the win. For that I have to thank all my sponsors for helping me out: Town and Country Cycle, McDonal Electric, Factory Connection, FMF, HBD graphics, Powerseal USA, EKs brand goggles, Enduro Engineering, Renthal, Troy Lee Designs, my mom and dad, brother, sister and also my girlfriend". - Kyle McDonal, Overall Grand Champion I had the chance to interview other riders, as I wanted to hear from those that had a wide variety of skill sets and race experience, as well as some that have raced from areas well outside of the ECEA. So I next asked for some feedback from a couple racers that are a father & son "racing duo"; namely Richard and Ryder Lafferty. You may recognize these names if you 're an AMA member as they had just been featured on the cover of the latest issue of the AMA magazine.. (how cool is that ?!!?). As for how his race went, Rich admitted he was not "On his game" for this event, but said he was extremely happy to see his son Ryder doing so well throughout the day. (*note - Ryder finished in 2nd overall on the day!) Rich added: "With two young kids being at the top of the overall, and other new competition in this event throughout the classes, I think that we need start control format races to be the norm for the enduro series to survive. With the exception of young guys like Jared Kulp or Derek Gaunt, there is not really much "new" or younger competition coming up. So I think some of us need to swallow our pride in order for the series to survive, and I applaud Delaware on their efforts with the start control format. The actual ten test sections Ryder Lafferty came close to were awesome. winning the overall. It's The only negative only a matter of when. was the length of sitting around at pauses, but in their defense having been around for awhile, if it rained we may have needed all that time. Good job to Kyle McDonald and Ryder of course for showing the ECEA regulars speed!" Rich went on to say "Ryder said he was excited and had a lot of fun. He was pumped to come away with such a good result. He (Ryder) told me "I just focused on riding smooth and carrying momentum through the turns, which was easy because the course for the most part was a good flow". - 2013 Delaware State Enduro Results 1Michael McGee 35 1752 2Justin Draper 44 2204 3Chris Uniatowski 48 2303 4Chris Green 57 2850 5Tom Vandervalk 58 2986 B 4ST 1Jack Cutts 31 1685 2Zakary Wydra 44 2156 3Justin Fisher 48 2549 4Brian Frost 49 2555 5Thomas Shughart 52 2470 B Open 1Steven Marshall 41 2179 2Clay Bretz 49 2531 3Dan Schenkein 51 2514 4Chris Bohnyak 54 2729 5Rob Wimpfheimer 57 2885 B Sr 1Nick Sotiropoulos 54 2693 2Mike Colston 54 2790 3Justin Myers 56 2710 4Anthony Whitecavage 56 2834 5Edward Zadroga 57 2777 B SSr 1Kevin Koch 49 2457 2Denny Blanchard 51 2623 3Dennis Whitely 51 2764 4Don Briggs 57 2904 5Ed Brown 58 2751 Place AA 1 Kyle McDonal 16 979 2 Ryder Lafferty 18 992 3 Jeff Melik 19 1091 4 Rich Lafferty 20 1142 5 Jeffrey Pasqua 20 1176 A 200 1 Zack Huberty 28 1532 2 Joseph Ferraro 30 1668 3 John Marshall 31 1683 4 Steve Hodgson 36 183 5 John Scoleri 44 2208 A 250 1 Johnny Lewis 25 1318 2 Jeremy Williams 25 1415 3 Brian Searfoss 29 1497 4 Cole Lange 31 1676 5 Mike Panetta 31 1699 A 4ST 1 Robert Lapinski 27 1407 2 Bobby Kershaw 28 1484 3 Kevin Sooy 30 1592 4 Bob Bennett 32 1695 5 Malcolm Schoeneberg 33 1723 A Open 1 Kyle Blysma 29 1477 10 2 Ryan Quinn 31 1651 3 Rick Adams Jr. 40 2043 4 Samuel Van Horn Jr. 42 2093 5 Devin Kellar 42 2145 A Sr 1 Jack Lafferty Jr. 30 1622 2 Bill Atkinson 31 1651 3Andy Blysma 34 1796 4Carmen Tino 38 1848 5Rob Aldakimov 38 1979 A SSr 1Brian Blanchard 30 1579 2Hank Knabe 33 1797 3Chuck Sullivan 37 1826 4Mark Yonjof 38 1986 5 Lou Green Millstone 42 2170 A Vet 1Michael Crum 32 1763 2Sam Verdetto 32 1785 3Jim Stack 34 1868 4Kristian Karner 35 1806 5Kyle Gatyas 39 2024 B 200 1Jarrett Mohn 39 1974 2Brian McAlinney 45 2433 3Sean McKinney 46 2343 4Justin Gibble 51 2559 5Jacek Malecki 56 2791 B 250 Trail Rider B Vet 1Josh Clayton 38 2010 2Jason Forte 40 1990 3Patrick Robinson 42 2115 4Eric Githens 45 2196 5Andy Parker 50 2479 C 200 1Samuel Shinn III 45 201 2Ray Newswanger 85 3713 3Anthony Giaguzzi 132 6092 C 250 1Brett McCracken 46 2156 2Deron Cox Bear 62 2806 3Roy Benson Wayne 68 3195 4Joe Dellasalla Fredon 74 3187 5John Earlin Jr. 91 3948 C 4St 1John Earley III 44 2081 2Angelo Vleck 58 2607 3Tyler Delp 68 3092 C Open 1Shawn Cutts 39 1831 2Bill Dolhancey 39 1875 3Pedro Faria 41 1955 4Greg Christian 52 2373 5Scott Sutton 44E 59 2680 www.TrailRider.com
