Richard and Ryder Lafferty, (2nd OA) I caught up with a "regular" ECEA A200 rider, Zack Huberty next:: "Delaware has joined the leading edge of enduros in the ECEA and has embraced the start control format. At Delaware, they threw their best ten sections at us which tested riders in various conditions. Sections consisted of steep hills, muddy one rut single track, rock gardens, tight trees, field sections, and creek crossings, and they ranged from 3-12 miles. The coolest section of trail was the A/AA section which consisted of technical trails for four miles and then eight miles of grass track. I imagined being at the WEC in Europe while enjoying such fine trail as my 200 XC was maxed out. With the loss of the Canal, I was amazed that the club was able to put together such great sections in such little time. The Canal has always been a favorite of mine, but I enjoyed the changes made to this year's enduro. This year I've been riding strong and was pushing for another top 20 overall to put points towards AA advancement. I couldn't be more excited to win A-200 and place, and 17th overall in a stacked field of talented riders. I will be back for next year!" Zack Huberty, A 200 1st place Next I had a chance to catch up with a fellow A Super Senior racer Mark Yonjof. Mark told me that he and his dedicated group of riding buddies (all from NC and SC) each take turns picking out their favorite enduros to go to for the year. "We cover pretty much the whole east coast and wanted to hit the 50th running of the Delaware enduro and were not disappointed. We had a blast and they will definitely be on our Christmas card list" . Mark added: "That was some GREAT trail and reminded me a lot of the old Wisconsin and northern Illinois enduros (Mark used to be a riding partner with Jeff Fredette back in the 80's when he lived there, so you know he can motor through the woods!). as you can imagine, Mark is an "old school enduro rider", that enjoys using his Mark Yonjof dropping knowledge and expeinto the creek.
