Pasqua Continues at Clock Run ECEA Round 3: PBER Enduro Story by: Zack Huberty Photos by: Joann Hauser A fter two rounds, both Rich Lafferty and Jeff Pasqua each had one overall win. Going into the 3rd round, it was up for grabs between the two or another rider who could step up to the plate to take the overall. The third round was expected to be rough as the forest DEP has limited trail selection (giving clubs a limited "kid's menu"). Sunday morning, I showed up to the race with my dad, and we quickly proceeded through sign-up. There would be 3 loops on the day. At minute 23, Zach Shepps (AA) and I took off down the road towards the forest to start a day of racing. I must note that this was one of the warmer days of racing I've seen this year. Loop 1 of the race was fairly easy as we entered the forest and the sand was near perfect with the recent rain. After a small reset, we soon were treated to a surprise check which was hidden around a blind corner. I didn't expect the check placement to be so close to the reset but the riders in the bushes gave it away. We pulled off the trail and watched the seconds count B Senior winner Davide Burr leads Eric Hahn into the frey at PBER down, started our bikes, and went in on a 30. We went in 4 wide went a mile into the woods where we hit an E-check, and then in order to get 30's but the check crew wrote the points 1 second checked into a longer section after that. This was the first real a part. Before the gas, we hit another E-check which helped points taking section of the day.
