down it. Or we'd find a big berm
and pracce that. It was some of
the best and most meaningful
seat me we ever had. It was
also great fun.
I oen hear from my race bud-
dies how they get bored or burnt
out with banging out laps or fo-
cused pracce sessions. My
recreaonal rider friends oen
lament how they get bored riding
the same trails. This usually hap-
pens around the middle of the
season.
If you find yourself stuck in this
midseason rut, it's me to
change things up. Remember, we
do this for fun, and it should
never feel like work. So when
you are contemplang suing up
aer work, do it! Get on your

s kids we only rode on week-
ends. And back then we ei-
ther
raced or pracced as
that's all we had me for. When we
got a lile older my father would take
my brother and I to Florida for a week
during the winter where we would
ride at Croom Motorcycle Park in
Brooksville, Florida. We had an enre
week to ride dirt bikes – and not just
bang out laps. We would go on prac-
ce rides in the morning or evening
but during the day we would spend
our me having fun in the Day Use
Area pits. We'd spend hours there just
playing around. We'd find an embank-
ment with a steep incline that transi-
oned into a short 90 degree slope
and pracce launching up it. We'd
