June 2024 17 The officials made the call to send them out for one more lap, eleven more miles of knee-deep ruts, and slick New York clay. The decision would benefit Nick Kordana the most, as he would move back up into second place. But it was Olin Daniels who triumphed over the two- me champ with a finishing me of two hours and twenty-eight minutes. Olin rode the last few miles of the race stuck in fi h gear a er bending his shi er beyond use. Adam Lewis would round out the podium behind Nick and move into the champi- onship points lead over Cody Williams and Michael Bloom who finished fi h and sixth respec vely. Bloom, discouraged with his result, said his riding was "unacceptable" and looks to improve at round four. As of this wri ng, only five points separate the top three racers and we have yet to see a repeat winner, this is definitely going to be an exci ng championship to watch. I have more ques ons than answers a er the first three rounds. Could Bloom remount and click off his first win of 2024? Will the rookie Adam Lewis get his first-ever hare scramble overall? Will Cody Williams decide to chase the whole series? So many different sto- rylines are forming, and we haven't even begun to scratch the surface of the fi een-round series. Round four is sure to be an all-out ba le at Indian Ridge!
